Colorado Bells

July 3rd - We traveled from Louisiana to Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado. Let me give you a recap on our drive, we saw corn, corn, corn, wheat, a few rolling hills (we weren't sure if you could actually call them hills but we let it pass), corn, corn, grass, and then the Rockies. We arrived at Doug and Ashlee's in time for dinner and fireworks.

July 4th - We played lots of football, went to the park for frisbee golf, croquet, slide (please see great video of Doug :O, I'm sorry I'm a nerd, I turned the camera while videoing, please tilt your head to the side and turn up the volume for optimal video pleasure). We went back to the house for lunch, mariocart, barbeque, waterballoons, and viewed Transformers.

July 5th - Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (very cool by the way). Then home for naps and rest before the grown ups go out to dinner and a movie. (The children have worn Randy out, please see picture from the ride home from the zoo :O)

Hula Hoop

Here is Alyssa's master hula hoop video. Enjoy!!!

Clifton and Jaime's

We made it to our first stop, Clifton and Jaime's. We are having lots of fun, playing Wii Mario cart, OK I am absolutely terrible at it but I'm having fun anyway. Here's a little clip of Emberlyn playing in her jumper. She is a hoot and it was great to watch her at work during physcial therapy this morning. She is a trooper. Zander was trying to block me from getting a snapshot of him but I won.

More to come.......

Day 1 - Pasco to Vegas

We made it to Vegas. Things we learned there. DON'T LOOK DOWN or SIDEWAYS!! :O) We had a very nice dinner at Roxy diner, where the waiters sing. Toma let the waiter know that it was Alyssa's birthday. A little ways into dinner we heard happy birthday start to play and the announcer said we have a birthday in the house and what do we like to do with those who have a birthday, embarrass them. So he walked to our table with two hoola hoops. One for Alyssa and one for her cousin Stephanie. They both were good sports and got up in the middle of the diner and started hoola hooping. He then asked each of them to do it on one foot. Alyssa did it and kept the hoola hoop going. He then asked her to get on the floor on her knees while hoola hooping. She dropped down with no hesitation and kept the hoola hoop going. At this point you could tell he was shocked, impressed, and laughing. He then had her turn around in a circle while your there. She did that. He just cracked up, the place was cheering, people from the casino area had stopped to watch and she was still going. He was so impressed with her skills we got a huge dessert out of it and lots of people stopped to say happy birthday to her on the way out. It was great fun. I'll try and get the video from my phone up so you can see her. she was pretty great. It amazes me that she will get up in front of tons of people she doesn't know without even batting an eye but won't ask her aunt Alyson for a cookie. Go figure.

Here's a picture of Alyssa and Stephanie, her cousin overlooking the Effiel (sp?) tower from the balcony at the Bellagio (sp?). Besides the diner experience the magic shop might have been the most fun. The guys was great and we really enjoyed it. Alyssa managed to stay up until 4am or so I hear. I went to my room at 2am and left them to party all night.
