Park

This weekend Alyson was sick so after taking Cailah to her soccer game where she scored two goals (excited does not even begin to describe her). I took the kids to park at the school. We had a picnic dinner. They have very fun equipment . Delayna's favorite....the slides. She went up and down and up and down I don't know how many time. Here's a couple of clips of her. I should give these to Al to post but it's what I did this weekend so I figure I can show off my nieces and nephews :O). One time she climbed up she accidentally went face first while trying to adjust her feet. Luckily she laughed and enjoyed it.

After much sliding we went over to the monkey bar playground area. I of course had to make sure I can still do a flip. Abby, Braydon, Alyssa and Cailah were twirling on the bars. I look over to see Delayna on the foot bar of the monkey bars doing flips with the rest of them. TOO CUTE And a girl after my own heart....got to keep up with the big kids. :O) I should apologize to the other kids. I thought I got a shot of each of them but I only had my phone with me and I clearly didn't get the shots. So it's the Delayna show today.

Easter - Better late then never

This Easter weekend we got the joy of having mom and Randy come and visit. The Saturday before Easter Randy and mom were going to leave. We of course packed it in. Randy took Abby to her soccer game while Alyson and I took Braydon and Cailah to the primary activity day. Al and I were in charge of a 15 minute station for the groups of kids. We came up, with help from the internet to egg the bishops door. So we cut out paper shaped like eggs and had each of the kids draw a picture or write a note to the bishop...he was a brand new bishop so it was even more fun. We took each group and snuck to the bishops office and quietly taped the eggs to his door. The best part was the bishop was there and he thought someone was knocking the first time we showed up and started to open up the door so we all ran and hid. The kids LOVED it. The bishop got the idea but a couple of times still started to open the door which was WAY fun. He loved it and talked about it at the pulpit on Sunday and then again thanked the kids during primary. He left them up that Sunday. It was really fun and SOOOO easy. I love easy things.

Anyhow because of all of this we were a little late getting eggs died and mom and Randy were going to leave Saturday afternoon. Mom and I ran to the store to get the eggs, we called Alyson to ask how many she wanted and she said well there are four kids so if we have 1/2 dozen for each kid that should be good. It was a good thing Randy was listening because he proceeded to speak up and say that wasn't going to work and that he WOULD be dyeing easter eggs. The kids, yes this includes Randy had a great time. When they were dry we wanted to get a picture of them on display with the kids. So Randy started picking out the eggs "he thought" were the best to put on display.....can you guess which ones he picked out. :O) LOL Yes your right...they were all his...the kids of course got a kick out of it. It was very much fun.

The BEST Easter eggs made. :O)

Cailah is there...she is just hiding behind the eggs next to Alyssa and in front of me.

Grease Lighting

Alyssa had a choir festival this past Friday and the high school . A lot of the songs they sung were from Grease. So they were suppose to dress up in poodle skirts or 50-60's garb. We of course didn't have a poodle skirt so we improvised with rolled up jeans, white t-shirt, head band, high heel shoes, and of course obnoxious makeup. :O) I did not get to see her before left since I was working but Alyson took some pictures for me. She still looked cute when I got home from work and her lips were still stained red. :O) More to come when I get some pictures and video from her concert coming up.

Home Depot

Al and I took the kids to Home Depot this Saturday for the kids workshop...of course we mixed up the times and they were too late to do it however we did find a nice piece of wood to finish up our project. (Making Burt's old piece of furniture into a new and improved piece to put in Al's front hall to store backpacks, shoes, etc.. in an effort to keep it clean...yes we are still trying :O) You can look at a picture of it on Al's blog). Anyhow while we were in Home Depot Alyssa found these cord clip things. They are very cool and the new and improved way to keep the kids in line at the store....look closely at their hands. Oh and in case your wondering the kids actually were having fun...they posed for this picture....looking distressed.

We decided to leave the little one (Delayna) alone and as you can see she LOVED IT!!

Talent Show

Alyssa and 4 of her friends performed Jordan Sparks, One Step at a Time for the talent show at school. They each took turn singing solo and then singing together. This is the section where Alyssa sang with Jordan (her friend, not to be confused with Jordan Sparks). She is currently practicing to try out for a solo for the last choir concert of the year. She loves to sing....if she could only get a little confidence she would ROCK!!! :O) I'm trying to get her to believe in herself....so far she doesn't believe me when I tell her she sound good....shocking I know for a teenager not to believe her mom. :O). The girls were very cute. They each had their own color of shirt on with a matching color bow and eyeshadow the same color. They may not be professional singers but they were sure cute. The pictures didn't come out very good but you can still see their cuteness.
